FOREST Green boss Ady Pennock has distanced himself from last night’s ugly after-match brawl which followed his side’s first defeat in 11 matches at AFC Halifax Town.
The blue touch paper was lit when James Norwood was sent off with seven minutes remaining, but incredulous scenes followed after the final whistle when both sets of players and staff clashed and further red cards were shown to Forest Green defenders Dale Bennett and Eddie Oshodi.
Pennock told BBC Radio Gloucestershire:“I don’t want to be associated with it and it was totally unacceptable,” said an apoplectic Pennock. “They’re (Eddie Oshodi and Dale Bennett) adamant they didn’t hit anyone, but I will be looking at the DVD.
"You win graciously and you lose graciously. I'm very disappointed.
"I thought it was one of our best away performances and how we've lost the game I don't know. That spoiled it at the end."
