One of the most infamous non-league football supporters in the country is set to make an appearance in the West Country today, Saturday.

The Wealdstone Raider – whose real name is Gordon Hill – is expected to be among the crowd when his side visit Bath City for a pre-Christmas Vanarama Conference South fixture.

Hill became an internet sensation when a 30-second clip of him confronting rival supporters at Whitehawk in March 2013 was uploaded to YouTube. It has since been viewed more than five million times and used in countless user-made vines, featuring alongside John Lewis’ Monty the Penguin, Chris Kamara and James Blunt, among others.

He is also taking on X-Factor winner Ben Haenow in the race for the Christmas number one spot following the release of Got No Fans. Proceeds from the sale of the single will be split between Great Ormond Street’s Children’s Hospital, Wealdstone Youth FC and Autism Concern.

The Raider is also reported to be in talks to appear in Channel 5’s Celebrity Big Brother early in the new year. The rumoured line-up also includes Daniella Westbrook, Patsy Kensit, Katy Hopkins and Keith Chegwin.
