FOREST Green’s Elliott Frear and James Norwood both featured in the England C squad's international friendly against Cyprus U21s in Larnaca this afternoon.
The attacking pair started in a 2-1 defeat for the Three Lions, who had led at half-time through Barnet's Andy Yiadom.
Bristol Rovers left-back Lee Brown's cross from the left was headed in by Yiadom in the opening 45 minutes.
However, Cyprus hit back in the second period, scoring twice, to ensure they claimed the bragging rights.
The Cypriots are preparing for their 2017 UEFA European under-21 Championship's group stage which will see them take on the Netherlands and Turkey.
Frear and Norwood have become regular features in Paul Fairclough's squad in the last couple of seasons.
Norwood netted a hat-trick on his debut for the Three Lions against Bermuda in June 2013.
The duo will now return to Forest Green for training this week ahead of Saturday's clash against AFC Telford United at The New Lawn.
