CHRIS Stokes is in line to make his League One debut for Coventry City at Sheffield United this afternoon.

Sky Blues boss Steven Pressley has taken the attacking 23-year-old Forest Green left-back on an initial 28 day loan following a two week trial at the club.

Pressley had hoped to see the former Bolton Wanderers trainee in action against Huddersfield Under-21s on Thursday before making a decision but that game was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.

The England C international, who joined  Rovers after a lengthy spell with Bolton Wanderers in his youth, has made over 120 league appearances at The New Lawn.

He links up with former FGR boss, David Hockaday, who was recently appointed to the coaching staff at Coventry.
