FOREST Green captain Marcus Kelly has penned a one-year contract extension until the summer of 2016.
He told the club website:“It’s nice to get it sorted and now I want to concentrate on the rest of the season.”
Kelly, 28, joined the club in July 2013 as a trialist under former boss David Hockaday.
In his first season he won the Supporters’ Player of the Year and Players’ Player of the Year awards.
The former Rushden & Diamonds left-back also hit the back of the net nine times – including a hat-trick on the opening day of the 2013-14 season.
Ahead of Saturday's home game against Southport, Kelly added: “We’ve got big games coming up so we’re going to try and cement ourselves in the play-offs.
“It’s a great club to be at. It’s very ambitious. We want to get into the League and that is where I want to be as well.”
