FOREST Green are supporting Comic Relief at Saturday’s home tie against Braintree Town (3pm).

As Rovers look to continue their play-off push, and extend their eleven match unbeaten run, the club’s Comic Relief activity will add even more sense of occasion.

Car manufacturer Nissan will be contributing to the fundraising efforts, and will be bringing along a fleet of electric vehicles¹. While local cupcakery business, Nom Nom, will be donating a range of special Red Nose Day cakes, with all sales going to Comic Relief.

Russell Higgins from Nissan said: “"We are excited to be partnering FGR and supporting Red Nose day this Saturday.

“It's a great opportunity for supporters to find out all they need to know about our electric cars, and experience the benefits of driving electric.”

Saturday’s game also marks the club’s annual Presidents Day, when former players return to the club to relive memories and chat with fans.

Rovers currently sit in the final play-off spot, three points above Eastleigh – a victory against 17th placed Braintree on Saturday will see FGR keep up the momentum with only seven more games after the weekend.

Under 10s continue to benefit from free entry on Saturday, and tickets for the game are available now at www.fgrfc.com.
