Entries are open now for the 34th annual Stroud Half Marathon.

From elite runners to those who just want to get round the 13 mile course, Stroud Athletics Club welcomes all participants to the event known for its friendly atmosphere - and near-flat course.

The gun will be fired at 10am on Sunday, October 25 in Cainscross Road, Stroud and this year FullonSport and Total Buzz Events are partnering with Stroud AC to ensure even slicker organisation.

Stroud and District AC spokesman Chris Bourne said: “A great deal of research was carried out in choosing a suitable partner to take on the responsibilities and organisation of the race. We strongly believe that FullonSport are the right fit for us as a club and that they will take the race forward with our support and secure the future of the event for years to come.

“FullonSport have a portfolio of races they organise and the Stroud Half fits in well with the type and size of these other races.”
