CORBY Moore will feature as part of the Forest Green squad in next season’s Vanarama National League campaign after agreeing a new six-month contract, writes Richard Joyce.

The 21-year-old has signed on the dotted line to extend his spell at The New Lawn having originally arrived on a short-term contract in January.

A playmaker, suited best to a midfield role, he’ll be looking to enhance his presence in the squad after a bad illness reduced him to only one first team appearance last term.

That appearance came in a dramatic 5-3 victory over Southport at The New Lawn in February.

He arrived at the club after a stint in the USA playing for North American Soccer League outfit Indy Eleven.

His career had originally began at Southampton where he progressed through the highly rated youth system at St Mary’s, breaking into their under 21s squad, and gaining experience playing alongside the likes of England international duo Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Luke Shaw.

Confirmation of Moore’s stay means that there are 21 players under contract at FGR heading into the 2015-16 season.
