FOREST Green boss Ady Pennock has made former Newport County AFC striker Aaron O’Connor his marquee summer signing.
O’Connor, County’s top scorer in two of his three seasons at Rodney Parade, helped County to a top ten finish in League Two last season.
Released by new County boss Terry Butcher last month, Pennock fought-off a raft of suitors to land the 31 –year-old on a one-year deal.
He follows former County captain Darren Jones, who joined Rovers last month.
Pennock said: "Aaron will add srength to the squad - I am delighted to get him on board."
