FOREST Green striker James Marwood is set to re-join his former side Gateshead after a mutual agreement was reached between the clubs.
The former Gateshead and St Mirren attacker is now set to move back his former club after he made a total of 16 appearances in a FGR shirt, scoring once in a midweek draw at Alfreton.
The 25-year-old agreed a move to Nailsworth in January, signing an 18-month contract, but saw 11 of his showings in Ady Pennock’s side come from off the bench.
After helping Gateshead to the Conference promotion final in 2014, he had begun the 2014-15 campaign in the Scottish Premier League with St Mirren, before moving to FGR.
His final appearance was in the play-off semi-final second leg defeat at Bristol Rovers when he played the full 90 minutes at the Memorial Stadium in a right midfield position.
Forest Green spokesman Richard Joyce said: "We would like to thank James for his contribution in his time at The New Lawn and wish him all the best for the future."
