ENGLAND cricketers Becky Grundy and Georgia Elwiss will put their Women’s Ashes preparations to one side as they bid to inspire women and girls in the Cotswolds to play the game.

Becky and Georgia will help to deliver a fun coaching session at Cirencester Cricket Club on Friday, June 26 from 6.30pm to 8.30pm, with all women and girls currently playing in the Cotswold Women's League welcome to get involved.

Grundy said: “I am really looking forward to getting involved with the coaching session at Cirencester. It’s a perfect opportunity to spread the word in the area about the seven-match Women’s Ashes which begins in Taunton on Tuesday, July 21.

"Two days later, it's the second Royal London ODI against the Aussies at the Bristol County Ground on July 23. This summer we are aiming to win our third consecutive Women’s Ashes series against Australia, and we want all the support we can get.

"We love playing in front of big passionate crowds, so hopefully this will be the case in Taunton, Bristol and Worcester (July 26).”

After the coaching session at Cirencester CC there will be a question and answer session with Becky and Georgia followed by a barbecue with refreshments available throughout the evening.
