EASTCOMBE won by eight wickets to move up to third in the SDCA Premier League clash against Stroud.

The stars of the show this time were Phil Barry and Tom Morgan.

Morgan took five for 31 as Stroud were bowled out for 155, with 60 from skipper Rick Carman.

Kev Pring had earlier taken the first three wickets to keep the lid on the free scoring.

In reply, Eastcombe’s Phil Barry posted his best ever score for Eastcombe, 71, before falling to Max Gomer.

Mark Leadbeater carried his bat with a measured 47 not out, and was joined by captain Anth Perrins to round the game off with 26 not out.
