FOREST Green’s growing reputation in academy football has seen Scott Bartlett’s side attract another top-class friendly on Friday.
Following on from a clash against Everton last weekend, young Rovers will face the under-18s academy side of former FA Cup winners and one-time Premier League outfit Portsmouth, managed by former Salisbury City boss Mikey Harris, a former team-mate of Bartlett’s at the Ray Mac.
The pre-season friendly will be play at noon, behind closed doors at the Royal Agricultural College in Cirencester.
Bartlett said: “This will be another good test for us and I would like to thank Mikey Harris and Portsmouth for agreeing to play us.”
