FOREST Green boss Ady Pennock has landed long-term target Keanu Marsh-Brown for an undisclosed fee from Conference champions Barnet.
The 22-year-old right-winger has penned a two-year dea with the option of a third.
Marsh-Brown spent last week training with Rovers in Northern Ireland and will feature in tonight’s opening pre-season match against Cardiff City at The New Lawn, 7.30pm).
Forest Green boss Ady Pennock said: "I am delighted to sign Keanu and I have made no secret of my interest in him before. He will be a welcome addition."
Coming through the youth ranks at Arsenal and Fulham, Marsh-Brown signed his first senior deal at the Cottagers and has already played over one hundred career games in League One, League Two and the ow National League.
A loan from Fulham to League One outfit MK Dons provided Marsh-Brown with his first taste of senior football in the 2010-11 season. And after a brief stint on loan at Scottish Premier League side Dundee United in 2011, he secured a move to League One outfit Oldham Athletic in January 2012.
Marsh-Brown has already had a taste of the West Country with Yeovil Town in the 2012-13 season, before signing for Barnet where his impressive displays highlighted his attacking ability – including two assists in a 2-1 win over FGR at the back-end of the 2013-14 campaign.
During this off-season he has been training with the Antigua & Barbuda international squad ahead of their upcoming 2018 World Cup qualifiers.
Forest Green chairman Dale Vince said: “We’re very pleased to have Keanu join us – he’s a talented young player we’ve had our eye on for a little while now.
"He'll get his debut tonight as we kick off our pre-season with a friendly against Cardiff City at the New Lawn. We’re looking forward to what Keanu will bring to our squad and our push for promotion.”
