SEASON ticket sales at Forest Green Rovers have increased by a quarter on last season ahead of the start of the 2015/16 campaign.

With a week to go before the first home game, the club has sold more than 400 season tickets for the first time in its history, a rise of more than 250 tickets and 168% since Dale Vince’s first full season as chairman in 2012/13.

Ticket sales have been supported by a price freeze on last year and the introduction of new away travel arrangements, which mean season ticket holders will save £5 on away match-by-match travel tickets.

Dane Vince, general manager at Forest Green said: “The club has gone from strength to strength both on and off the field over recent years and we’re delighted to see that’s being matched by our fanbase, with the incredible increase in demand for season tickets.

“Last season saw us reach the play-offs for the first time, so we’re hoping that higher gates at the New Lawn, new incentives for away travel and continued investment in players could see us take that final step this season.

“Our first home game is only a week away, so pickup your ticket this week to get the best value for money, as tickets work out at just £2.60 per game for juniors and from just over £12 a game for adults.”
