STROUD seamer James Job proved his worth as he grabbed six wickets for 42 runs in an emphatic Gloucestershire Division triumph over Bourton Vale as the away side were skittled out for 101.

Earlier, Stroud captain Ed Mobbs won the toss and elected to bat. However, Vale started well, taking the wicket of Stroud opener Chris Job. Former captain Paul Frape quickly followed, being caught off the bowling of Ryan Newhook.

Stroud struggled to score runs on a difficult batting pitch- Mobbs and Will Golding departing in quick succession.

However, the innings was rebuilt by Ali Bell (85) and Jeremy Ward (16) leaving Stroud on 209 for the lost of eight wickets.

With a relatively slow, low score, it was imperative that Stroud bowled well on a bowler friendly pitch and they did just that. James Job was the star man with six wickets. Frape and Chris Job claimed two wickets apiece as Stroud proved too strong for the Vale batting line - up.
