Stroud News and Journal:

Trainor and Birch fell cheaply, Frocester had slumped to 114 for six.

However, Louis Gegg and Paul Muchall came to the rescue with a stand of 66 for the seventh wicket. Gegg was dismissed in the 43rd over for 43 and Muchall was caught in the final over for 55 as Frocester reached a final total of 198 all out.

In reply, Leadbetter was bowled in Ross Martin’s first over, but then Mayes (26) and Williams (10) batted solidly taking the total to 41 in the 13th over, when Williams was caught at slip by Trainor off the bowling of Nabi.

Barrett continued the good work with an innings of 21, taking the visitors to 67 for two in 20 overs.

However, Nick and Chad Trainor, bowling off-spin in tandem, restricted the scoring rate and built pressure. Once Mayes and Barrett were dismissed by the Trainors, the middle order collapsed to 95 for seven.

Nick Trainor then brought Muchall into the attack and he duly polished off the tail, as Cheltenham Civil Service were all out for 130 in the 40th over.

Tom Boore presented the County Cup, sponsored by Stuart Canvas, and a cheque for £350.
