FOREST Green boss Ady Pennock is in the running to be the next manager of Peterborough United.
Football League sponsors Sky Bet have already opened the betting on the next permanent Peterborough manager and are offering odds on Pennock of 25/1.
Posh parted company with Dave Robertson yesterday after just 23 matches and 197 days in charge. It was the first managerial sacking of the current Football League season.
Named National League manager of the month for August, Pennock, 44, boasts the best managerial record in the country, leading Rovers to a record-breaking eight straight National League victories.
The former Stoke City coach guided Rovers to the play-offs last season – in his first full season at the Gloucestershire club.
Pennock is being touted for the Posh job alongside Justin Edinburgh, Roy Keane, Alan Irvine, David Flitcroft, Phil Parkinson, Gary Megson and John Carver.
