GLOUCESTERSHIRE play Surrey in the Royal London One-Day Cup Final on Saturday and as with all Lord’s finals in September, the toss will be vital.

The wicket will be lively at first, then will become easier in time.

Last week in the County Championship, Middlesex were put into bat and were dismissed for 105. Three wickets fell in the first over.

Surrey have some fine cricketers. The Curran brothers are lively attacking bowlers. Captain Gareth Batty is an experienced spinner, and on a good day Jade Dernbach is a fine 'death' bowler.

If you know any magic spells, say them around 10am on Saturday.

The coin must fall in a way that gives captain Michael Klinger the opportunity to say “we will field”.

Many tickets will be available on the day. It may be easiest to obtain them from the North Gate. That is the first gate you arrive at on the way from St John’s Wood tube station.
