JAMES Hook could be thrust from the Gloucester training ground to Twickenham this week to face England in the Rugby World Cup.
The latest injury crisis for Hook’s native Wales means he is one of two possibilities to get a call up to the squad for the match against England on Saturday. The other possibility is Newport Gwent Dragons’ Tyler Morgan.
Hook was dropped from the initial Welsh World Cup 31-man squad last month when the final cut was made but centre Cory Allen suffered what was described as "a significant tear" in his hamstring during an umimpressive 54-9 Pool A victory over World Cup outsiders Uruguay on Sunday.
Morgan is only a youngster and Hook’s  enormous Test match experience could prove crucial for his country in a Twickenham showdown they must win to qualify out of Pool A – the Group Of Death - which also contains not just England but Australia and Fiji.
