FRESH from an impressive debut against Cheltenham Town, Darren Carter is eyeing another start for National League leaders Forest Green on Saturday.

Carter played his first full competitive 90 minutes since leaving Northampton Town in the summer.

But with Sam Wedgbury and Rob Sinclair returning from suspension, the former Premier League star is mindful that boss Ady Pennock faces a selection headache ahead of the National League clash against Gateshead.

Carter said: “As a manager you want the headache of having players available, so it's great for us that Wedge (Sam Wedgbury) and Sincs (Rob Sinclair) are back – two very good players who have had a great start season - and helped the team to the top of the table.

“The manger wouldn’t have it any other way and that’s what he is paid to do to make the big decisions, so obviously it’s totally up to him.”
