MARTIN Ling has been confirmed as the new Swindon Town manager this morning.
The former Town midfielder was unveiled as the man to take over the reins from Mark Cooper after he was sacked by chairman Lee Power last month.
Ling, who enjoyed six years in charge at Leyton Orient, was part of Swindon squad that won promotion to the Premier League in 1993 when Glenn Hoddle was in charge.
The 49-year-old, who also spent two years as the Torquay United manager, is tasked with steering the club out of the drop zone as they currently sit second-from-bottom in League One level on points with basement side Crewe Alexandra.
