MINCHINHAMPTON seniors gained a very good away win at Bath sham Castle.
The successful pairs were John Evans & Ken Gillies, Neil Tothill & Roger Turley, Paul Archer & Les Wright and David Rees & Edward Shellard.
Ian Saner & David Warden halved their game.
April Seniors' Medal
THE April Seniors' Medal was played on the Cherington course.
The early starters had the best weather conditions, with the overall winner being Ray Peer thanks to his net 70. Ray was the first to tee off at 8.30am.
Angus Vockings, another early starter, won the best gross prize with his 81.
Division One: 1, Tony Marchant (net 72); 2, Alan Read (74); 3, Brian Mallon (75 on count back).
Mick Brundell took the over 70s prize with a net 75.
Division Two: 1, Ray Peer (net 70); 2, Terry Howsen (72 on count back); 3, Ian Rose (72).
Martin Saunders took the over 70s prize with a net 72.
Four players scored twos: Peter Burridge, Pat Casey, Eric Hayburn and Alan Roe.
Minchinhampton 4½ Stinchcombe 1½
MINCHINHAMPTON seniors put up another good performance to beat Stinchcombe at home.
The winning pairs were Paul Moffat & David Starkey, Warren Dyke & Peter Morse, Tony Pleass & Edward Shellard and Andy Johnson & Roger Turley.
Ian Saner & Martin Saunders halved their game.
