HRH The Duke of Cambridge emerged triumphant on Sunday at the Maserati Royal Charity Polo Trophy match at the Beaufort Polo Club, near Tetbury.

The match was the UK leg of Maserati’s International Polo Tour, the third of six matches played on three continents during 2016, and was part of the Gloucestershire Festival of Polo.

The Duke of Cambridge played alongside Luke Tomlinson, Charley Law and George Meyrick on the winning Maserati team.

Princes William and Harry take part in these games in aid of their chosen charities: England and Wales Mountain Rescue, Household Cavalry Foundation and the Welsh Rugby Charitable Trust. This summer’s matches will see the total they have raised pass the £10 million mark.

Maserati won 9-5½ with Law being awarded the Most Valuable Player prize.

2016 is the third year Maserati and its partner, luxury clothing company La Martina have hosted a world polo tour.

Prince Harry out the match on this occasion, watching from the sidelines with his cousin Zara Tindall.
