FOREST GREEN midfielder Darren Carter has penned a new one-year deal at the New Lawn.
Carter joined his team-mates today as the squad returned to pre-season training at the Royal University training ground.
Boss Mark Cooper said: “I’m really pleased to have Darren on board and his experience and professionalism will be invaluable to us.”
He made 39 appearances in all competitions last season and found the back of the net on eight occasions – scoring in important clashes against Torquay, Cheltenham and Wrexham.
The 32-year-old brings significant experience to Mark Cooper’s squad. Having played in the Premier League for Birmingham City and West Bromwich Albion, he can also boast of time spent with the likes of Sunderland, Millwall and Preston North End.
