GLOUCESTERSHIRE'S women clinched a 32-shot win over Northamptonshire at Brackley BC in a top-of-the-table battle in the Middle England League.
The best rink was that of Jeanette Scott (Cheltenham) with her quartet storming to a 34-14 win, while Joy Sheward (Cheltenham Whaddon ) weighed in with a 30-13 win. The third winning rink was that of Margaret McColl who gained a 21-17 victory.

FOR the second time in recent weeks Gloucestershire Women saw their title hopes dented as they fell to Warwickshire by 19 shots in the Middle England League at Stratford BC.
The defeat puts both sides on equal points at the top of the table with Gloucestershire having played a game more.
It bad day for the county as they came away with just one winning rink through Sally Rolls (Gloucester Spa), Christine Magee (EDF Energy), Pauline Gunn (Caer Glow) and Sue Latham (Olveston) who against S Hornsby strode to a 23-16 success.
Cirencester's Ann Jones and her rink led 7-6 after 10 ends but slipped to a 19-14 defeat.
