ED CLANCY is one of cycling's legends who will appear at this year’s Cycle Show at the NEC in Birmingham.

Reigning Olympic team pursuit world champion Clancy, along with fellow Olympic gold medallist Joanne Rowsell Shand and three-time world pursuit champion Dani King will take to the stage for the 15th staging of the event.

It will be the first UK public appearance for Clancy, whose family lives near Tetbury, and Rowsell Shand after competing in the Rio Olympics, where they are tipped for gold in the men’s and women’s team pursuit respectively.

Speaking on the announcement, director of the Cycle Show, Chris Holman, said: “With Ed and Jo odds on for golds again, we couldn’t be happier to confirm they’re coming back to the show to tell everyone about their latest track exploits in Rio.”

The Cycle Show takes place from September 23-25 at the NEC.
