The pre-season action continues for Forest Green tonight with a trip to local Hellenic Premier Division outfit Brimscombe & Thrupp at the Meadow (7.30pm).
On Monday evening Rhys Murphy’s double helped FGR to a 3-2 win over Slimbridge at their newly named Thornhill Park home.
And now attentions turn to Brimscombe for a popular trip for Forest Green supporters, where a strong side will be once again on show.
Rob Sinclair, Dale Bennett and Keanu Marsh-Brown are set to feature.
Brimscombe & Thrupp enjoyed the highest ever league finish in their history last season, claiming fifth in the Hellenic Premier Division.
Under the management of new boss Sam Prior, who came in from Gloucestershire County League side King's Stanley, they also reached the final of the Hellenic League’s Floodlit Cup.
Their squad includes midfield man Ben Snook, who helped Cinderford Town to the Southern League South & West Division last term, and one-time Forest Green under 18s skipper Ash Caldwell.
Brimscombe have enjoyed a busy pre-season which included demolishing Melksham Town 8-0 on Saturday.
Meanwhile a few days before that they recorded a solid draw with FGR’s Monday night opponents Slimbridge.
