Painswick RFC battled it out to win the Stroud Touch Rugby Tournament.

The annual tournament, kindly organised by Nicola Gordon took place on Fridays over a six-week period and featured mixed teams and over 45s.

The games were played at a fast tempo and a special mention goes to top try scorer Neil Churchill. Freya Abbot scored several tries and Kieran Marshall and Ben Ryall bossed the pitch with their skills in both attack and defence.

Over 45s player Calum Abbot was great with the high ball and visiting players  Sam Strange, Jack Keightley and Craig Hill fitted into the team.

Painswick went onto shine at the Cainscross Half Pitch Rugby 7s, where they came second, narrowly missing out to Minchinhampton in the finals.
