Shortwood Res..4
MANAGER Nick Ackland’s footballing revolution continues unabated, as Shortwood Reserves recorded an impressive 4-1 away win at Milton United.
United have now scored seven goals in two back-to-back wins.
Shortwood really didn’t get going until the second period.
After the home side had opened the scoring, and in difficult conditions, the Wood started where they left off last week by finding their scoring boots.
Tom Blackah opened up his Shortwood account with a penalty and then former Bristol Manor Farm striker Ayo Ajijedidun smashed home a second- half hat-trick.
Ackland gave special praise to keeper Lloyd Price, who put in an excellent performance between the sticks.
Ackland said “We were very good in the second half in difficult conditions. Everybody put in a good shift and again I’m very pleased with our performance.”
