FAIRFORD TOWN continued their impressive goalscoring form with a 6-1 away win at Shortwood United Reserves on Saturday.
After back to back 5-0 wins at home, the Reds hit six this time on the road – ahead of the Bank Holiday encounter with Letcombe at Cinder Lane on Monday.
Fairford made a fast start and were 4-0 up inside 19 minutes. Jack Ellis hit the opener on six minutes from a Jason Milhench cross before the latter doubled the advantage soon after.
Ellis added to his personal tally with a fine effort on 16 minutes and Luke Cordery, with a well-taken header, made it 4-0 at the break.
Fairford hit a fifth goal just before the hour mark with Ellis completing his hat-trick.
Danny Hale scored the sixth, from the penalty spot, and was denied a Fairford seventh after another spot-kick was saved late on.
Ayomide Ajijedidun scored a late consolation for the home side, his fifth goal in just two games.
Fairford Town: Mitchell; Chilcott, Dainton, Saunders, Hall; Drewett, Blackford, Cordery, Milhench; Ellis, Hale.
