BRIMSCOMBE boss Sam Prior will be glued to his phone for today’s FA Cup third qualifying round draw at Wembley.

The draw takes place at noon with Brimscombe now two wins from the first round proper after they beat Brislington 2-1 on Saturday thanks to goals from captain Chris Greenough and Sam Blackie.

Prior said: “We really don't mind who we get next, any draw is a bonus and we will all be glued to the phones on Monday lunchtime.”

Prior and his squad were certainly nursing a few hangovers as the team celebrated with a few beers in Bristol.

“This was best day in our history and an unforgettable day for all those connected with Brimscombe,” added Prior, who saw his side bank £4,500 from the tie.

“It's an unbelievable feeling to be this deep into the FA Cup and the whole club deserves the plaudits, not just the players, but for everyone involved.

“The prize money we've managed to accumulate is a huge boost for the club. It'll go a long way to providing us with fantastic income that can push us towards being debt free and a profit making club, which is incredible for this small Hellenic Premier side.”
