OLYMPIC hero Pete Reed has had his confidential medical records exposed by hackers who targeted the world anti-doping agency database.
Pete, from Nailsworth, has won three Olympic rowing gold medals, one at each games from Beijing 2008, London 2012 and this summer in Rio.
The files, which include details of therapeutic use exemptions (TUEs), banned substances that athletes are allowed to use for medical reasons, suggest Pete used prednisolone to treat an inflammatory and autoimmune condition.
The hackers, known as Fancy Bears, have been publishing the files of superstar athletes from Mo Farah to Rafael Nadal.
The use of TUEs is not a doping offence and there are no suggestions that any of the athletes mentioned by the leaks have been involved in any misconduct.
