Oldland Abbotonians Ladies 2
Forest Green Rovers Ladies 2
This keenly contested South West Women's Football League Eastern Division game between teams previously boasting 100 per cent records ended up all square after a 91st-minute penalty gave Forest Green a share of the points.
Rovers started well and created several half chances but as in previous games a lack of composure in front of goal meant that none were taken.
It was the home team that took the lead against the run of play when a quick break caught the visitors' defence out of position and despite Lucy Clark's parry, the ball fell kindly for it to be rolled home from the initial save.
Forest Green The second half saw a similar pattern to the first with the visitors taking the game to Oldland and, after several more chances went begging, Charlie Rowlands cut in from the right and crashed a shot in from the edge of the area which flew into the far corner for the equaliser.
Instead of making the game safe by taking any of several more very good openings, it was Rovers who fell behind again when the defence was caught out by a long ball forward and a lob over Clark for the O's to once again take the lead.
Continual pressure from Rovers then resulted in Holly Chandler being fouled in the area, and for the second time in a week Sian Towler dispatched a sweetly struck penalty into the bottom corner for the visitors to come away with a point, which keeps them at the top of the table.
