Forest Green came out on top against Cheltenham Town Development in the Eastern Division of the South West Women's Football League.
Forest Green took the lead inside two minutes. Sian Towler found Rachel Isaacs, who squared the ball to Holly Chandler who rifled home.
Solid midfield work by Libby Timney and Sian Towler the ball went to Isaacs again on the left, who cut back to Towler for another good strike from the edge of the box to make it two in the 23rd minute.
Up front Charlie Rowlands and Robyn Lee both were being marked tightly by the Cheltenham defence.
The second half was frustrating for FGR with a spirited Cheltenham defence denying any further goals but Libby Timney and Towler in the midfield showed good distribution.
