THE following roads will be closed before and during Stroud Half Marathon, which starts at 10am at Marling School on Sunday, October 23.

● A419 Cainscross Road, between the Cainscross Roundabout and the Wallbridge roundabout at Merrywalks, between 08:30hrs and 13:30hrs.

● B4008 Standish Lane, between Standish Church and the junction with the A38, from 10:20hrs till 11:45hrs.

● The Nupend(Grove) Lane, running from the A38 at Whitminster to the entrance to the Shell Service Station on the island of the A419 near Chipmans Platt, from 10:30hrs till 12:00noon.

● Oldends Lane, Stonehouse, from the junction with the A419 to Midland Road, Stonehouse(over Railway Crossing), from 10:35hrs till 12:30hrs.

● Paganhill Lane, in both directions, between 10:50hrs and 12:30hrs.

With access granted for emergency vehicles and service buses.

● Dudbridge Roundabout to Cainscross Roundabout, in both directions from 09:45hrs till 12:30hrs.

A temporary 30mph speed restriction will also be in place along the A419 Bristol Road from Grove Lane to the junction with the B4008 between 08:30hrs and 13:30hrs.

WHERE TO WATCH

If you would like to come out and cheer the athletes along, the best vantage points are as follows:

● Cainscross Roundabout: 10:00hrs till 13:30hrs.

● Ebley from 10:00hrs till 13:00hrs.

● Stonehouse from 10:10hrs.

● Standish Church from 10:20hrs.

● Whitminster from 10:25hrs.

● Oldends Lane Industrial Estate from 10:30hrs.

● Bottom of Regent Street from 10:40hrs.

● Ebley Road from 10:45hrs
