Tuffley Rovers 0
Brimscombe 2
By Scott Boulton
BRIMSCOMBE bagged the Gloucestershire bragging rights at Tuffley Rovers.
Goals from in-form Ollie Pitt and Jack Smith's second-half goal sealed the win for Sam Prior's side.
Earlier, new Brimscombe signing Alex Parrott caught the eye as he forced Dave Evans to save.
And the Rovers' keeper did well to deny Ben Deakin. However, the stalemate was broken on 35 minutes through a Pitt free-kick.
Brimscombe were indebted to keeper Lewis Skyers after the break as he superbly denied Ashley Davies, but the Lilywhites made it 2-0 when Josh Jones picked out Smith to score with 11 minutes to go.
In the dying minutes, Warren Mann forced Skyers into another fantastic save.
Brimscombe travel to Amesbury on Saturday for the FA Vase and then face Royal Wootton Bassett at home on Tuesday night.
