Gloucester Two
Minchinhampton 5
Old Elizabethans 52
MINCHINHAMPTON were disappointed with their overall performance against newly-promoted Old Elizabethans who raced to a 52-5 success.
Despite being only one place behind their opponents in the league before the game, Minch's display did not match their position in the table.
Minch were always chasing the game.
Despite some excellent work in the lineout from jumpers Ed Wright and Dan Wood and a steady supply of ball from a generally solid scrum, Minch were unable to capitalise in attack.
Piers Marks completed his first match of the season at the fourth attempt and there were good all-round displays from Bradley Gardner and the back row.
The only Minch try was scored by fly-half Sam Wainwright.
