Read Forest Green fan Chris Gardner's player ratings from Tuesday night's draw with Tranmere.

VERDICT: Once over the trauma of two more points than got away, we should acknowledge that the Tranmere game was the latest in a feast of good football at TNL this season.

Brilliance and mistakes came in equal measure, as did missed chances. Rovers will rue not putting the game put to bed by the end of the first-half and messing up with the goal yawning in the second.

But, Tranmere will point to their sharpness on the counter and some great openings in front of goal. The result, a great game.

Sam Russell - 7 - Busier than usual, but had to make few saves of note. Lincoln like defending caused the first and second goals.

Dale Bennett - 7 - Less in evidence than usual but had his moments. Not quite back to his pre-suspension best.

Charlie Clough - 8 - Shaky start, as Ethan, but got better and better and by the end was in one of his 'thou shalt not pass' moods.

Dan Wishart - 6 - Fraught game for Dan. Too often dispossessed upfield, and made to look flat-footed off the mark against a pacy winger. Maybe he missed Elliott Frear and took on too much?

Ethan Pinnock - 7 - So he is humanoid. Jittery and mistake prone for the first 15 but improved as the game went on. Evidence that the Lincoln reverse affected even his impressive cool.

Darren Carter - 8 - Darren continues his fine rehab. When Tranmere pressed hard, he was often the rock that held the team together and helped those around him to find team mates in space. My man-of-the-match.

Christian Doidge - 7 - His persistence secured the mistake that notched the opener and he worked tirelessly. As games progress, it seems difficult for his team-mates to find him accurately.

Liam Noble - 8 - Led by shear dint of effort and scored a typical curled goal. Made mistakes but always worked hard to remedy them and encourage those around him.

Rob Sinclair - 7 - Superb one minute, caught in possession or mis-passing the next. Uneven game from Rob that summarised the entire match.

Keanu Marsh-Brown - 7 - If Keanu had had his shooting boots on Rovers would have been home & dry. Then that infield pass ... Like many of FGR's players on the night, Jekyll & Hyde.

Drissa Traore - 7 - Pretty similar to Keanu & Sincs. Dull he is not. Watching Drissa is nerve shredding - elation and panic in no particular order as he executes his party tricks!

Subs Rhys Murphy - 6 - Little impact after replacing Keanu.

Matt Tubbs - 6 - Had a couple of opportunities as the ball seared across the goal line but  a yard short of where we expected him to be.
