Stroud Table Tennis League

Division One

THORNBURY A made light work of Frampton A, beating their visitors 10-0 thanks to Anthony Kent, Emily Standing and Dave Reeves only losing three singles games and one doubles game between them. The win saw them maintain their position at the summit.

Division Two

A 9-1 SCORE-LINE flattered Randwick A when they beat the visiting Frampton C, Declan Fardon and Robbie Hawkins each scored maximums in a match where eight of the ten sets went to five and the other two went to four.

Phoenix C beat the visiting Randwick B 9-1 with Sally Jones and Alan Wheeler scoring maximums for the host.

Whiteshill A and the visiting Thornbury B shared the points at five all with Steve Greening scoring a max for the home side to finish as man of the match.

No one player could dominate when Forest Green B entertained Nailsworth A, with the visitors leaving with a 6-4 win.

Division Three

PHEONIX E were well beaten at home by Woodchester C for whom Barry Morgan and John Bunn were undefeated in singles and doubles as their side won 9-1.

Cam B also suffered a heavy defeat when they entertained Woodchester D, Colin Bruton and Roger Davis each returning maximums as they won 8-2.

Phoenix D entertained Phoenix F but it was the away side that came away with an 8-2 victory thanks to maximums from Sam McIvor and Jon Ramsbotham.

Thornbury C inflicted a 9-1 defeat on the visiting Randwick D thanks to maximums from Steve Biles and Len Pattison.

Whiteshill C hold on to top spot as maximums from Chris Kowalczuk and Terry Jordan helped them beat the visiting Randwick C 9-1.

Division Four

PHOENIX H slipped from the top of the division as they lost 3-7 at home to Cam C, although Chris Hampton was man of the match winning all his singles for the home side.

Forest Green C move to the summit after beating their Randwick E hosts 8-2, Allan Norman and Alex Edwards each returning maximums.

Forest Green D and Thornbury D shared the points at five apiece when the two sides met at the Green, Rik Cross was man of the match winning all his singles.

Nailsworth C beat the visiting Phoenix G 7-3 with a hat trick from Dave Watson making the difference.

In his first match of the season, Brian Cullis scored a maximum which helped Frampton D beat the visiting Nailsworth B 8-2.
