HRH The Princess Royal will officially open Minchinhampton RFC’s new clubhouse and changing rooms on the afternoon of Friday, March 3.
The visit will coincide with a 'Volunteers of the Season' event organised by the Gloucestershire Rugby Football Union and hosted by the Minchinhampton club whose pitches are adjacent to the Princess's Gatcombe estate.
The GRFU would not survive without its dedicated and willing volunteer workforce and they will be recognising those volunteers who have made an outstanding contribution to rugby within the county this season at the event in March.
In addition to opening the Minch clubhouse, and meeting the volunteers of the season, GRFU patron The Princess Royal will also enjoy a short rugby match between an invitational XV put together by her son-in-law Mike Tindall and a GRFU team.
