SHORTWOOD United are bracing themselves for the loss of top scorer Jake Lee.
Boss Alex Sykes has confirmed the Southern League outfit have received an approach from National League Conference South outfit Weston, managed by Forest Green Academy chief Scott Bartlett.
The SNJ understands a deal for Lee is set to be agreed today.
The 25-year-old joined former Cheltenham Town and Bishop’s Cleeve striker joined the Nailsworth club three years ago from Bishop’s Cleeve and has turned down previous lucrative offers from Southern League rivals North Leigh, Evesham and Mangotsfield.
Hot-shot Lee plundered 28 goals last season for the Nailsworth side.
