Here are the player ratings from Ashley Loveridge – how do they compare with yours?
Sam Russell – Pulled off a tremendous save in the first-half. Generally untroubled, but balls under the bar were a constant worry for Russell and his defence. 7/10.
Dan Wishart – Growing in confidence after a recent dip Almost scored with a howitzer from 40 yards. 7/10.
Charlie Clough – Solid and dependable and put in some great defensive headers as Rovers came under the cosh. 7/10.
Manny Monthe – Imposing presence. Had his pocket picked, but his blushes were spared by a superb Russell save. 6/10.
Dale Bennett – Put in a tireless shift on an unforgiving playing surface. 7/10.
Ethan Pinnock – Continues to catch the eye and has settled comfortably into his new midfield holding role. 7/10.
Rob Sinclair – Gave his all for the team and tried to make Rovers tick. Substituted in the second-half. 6/10.
Liam Noble – Worked his socks off in another energetic display. 6/10.
Charlie Cooper – His best game in a Rovers shirt on a night when he was asked to play three different roles. 7/10.
Christian Doidge – Scoring goals for fun and led the line well, but should have won it for Rovers at the death. 8/10.
Keanu Marsh-Brown – Delicious cross to set up Doidge for the goal, but didn’t have his usual impact and was substituted. 6/10.
Subs
Shamir Mullings – I predicted he would come off the bench and pinch a later winner – and he nearly did, but he snatched at a glorious 90th-minute opportunity. Sham needs a goal to settle down – his time will come. 5/10.
Marcus Kelly – Late cameo and caught the eye with some great deliveries. 7/10.
