FOREST GREEN are running the rule over Peter Skapetis, the former Stoke striker and Australian youth international.
Stoke paid QPR £300,000 for the striker in 2014 after he joined Rangers from South Melbourne in 2012.
He left the Premier League outfit last summer and has been on trial with Derby County, Sheffield United and Cardiff City.
The 21-year-old trained with Rovers last week and watched their 5-1 victory at Bromley and a decision is expected to be made next week by boss Mark Cooper, who is set to announce another 'exciting' signing on Tuesday.
Rovers parted company with striker Kieffer Moore who penned an 18-month deal at Ipswich Town on Saturday. Meanwhile, Cooper confirmed that winger Elliott Frear is set to leave the New Lawn.
