Forest Green Rovers' head of youth and Weston-super-Mare boss Scott Bartlett is in the frame to be the next boss at ambitious National League outfit Eastleigh.

Bartlett,37, is understood to be a strong contender to become Eastleigh’s fourth manager this season after the Hampshire club parted company with boss Martin Allen, who was sacked after 14 games in charge on Wednesday.

Bartlett, who discovered Bristol City striker Matty Taylor at non-league North Leigh, is viewed as a young and hungry manager and could tick the right boxes for the Spitfires.

Bartlett led Forest Green to the Wembley Promotion Final in May after taking caretaker charge during the play-offs following the sacking of Ady Pennock.

Bartlett previously took the helm in a caretaker capacity after the exit of David Hockaday.

He has successfully transformed the fortunes of Weston in the National League South Division after taking the managerial reigns in October.
