Minchinhampton FC................................. 6

Cotswold Rangers......................................0

LEAGUE champions Minchinhampton FC preserved their unbeaten home record as they hit Cotswold Rangers for six.

On a glorious day with the pitch looking in great credit to groundsman Julian Biddle, the scene was set, but the Minchinhampton team struggled to get their usual football going.

The tension was broken when a Chris Earle corner was met by the onrushing Riki Noble who guided his header across the keeper and into the net.

A second goal arrived shortly after when another whipped in cross from the lively Chris Earle was slid into his own net by a defender, under pressure from Jack Hornsby.

The second period was one-way traffic and Minchinhampton duly increased their lead when fine interplay between Josh Button and Jamie Lees saw the latter fire home.

Rob Walker then added a fourth with a delightful cross shot which nestled into the top corner of the net.

Riki Noble was on hand to add a fifth goal with another header finding the net via the underside of the crossbar. Finally, Jack Hornsby got in on the act finishing sharply from close range.

Star men: Riki Noble for Minch and Sam Glanville for Cotswold Rangers.
