There was a sense of inevitability about the goal when it came. Keanu Marsh-Brown had been feeling his way into the game, when he glided silently away from the Dagenham defence, collected Ethan Pinnock's pass and curled his shot beyond the keeper.
Marsh-Brown seems to reserve his worldies for BT Sport as he followed his scorcher at Wembley last season with another sumptuous hit to take his side to the home of football again.
And Marsh-Brown admitted he loves the big stage, he said: "I love playing in big games, the pressure I thrive off. When the time comes, I step up to the plate again and it's paid off, so we're going to Wembley."
