FOREST Green Rovers go toe-to-toe with Tranmere Rovers today at Wembley with historic promotion to League Two up for grabs.

The teams are being cheered on by more than 15,000 adoring fans, with each trying to give their side the edge on a glorious sunny day in the capital.

Kaiyne Woolery opened for the scoring for FGR in the 12th minute with an opportunistic strike from 25 yards.

Connor Jennings levelled for Tranmere in the 22nd minute from the edge of the box.

Christian Doidge took FGR ahead again in the 41st minute with a corker from the edge from outside the area into the bottom right corner.

Kaiyne Woolery secured a brace to fire the Gloucestershire side further ahead in the 43rd beating two Tranmere defenders and surpassing keeper Scott Davies to make the score 3-1.

And that was the final score, earning Forest Green Rovers promotion to League Two.
