KING’S STANLEY have appointed Shane Tanner as manager.
Tanner joins the club from Stroud United and replaces Steve Wakefield who has stepped down to concentrate on playing.
After leading the reserve team to a third-place league finish and a Charity Cup Final, Carl Phelps will continue in the role of reserve team manager.
Following their exit from the County League two seasons ago, Stanley are looking to regain membership of the Northern Senior League again and are hoping that the appointment of a new face will be the trigger in realising that ambition.
After disappointing starts to the last two seasons, which probably cost them promotion, the Bluebells begin pre-season training on Wednesday, June 7, 6.45pm start, at their home ground. New players welcome.
