SHORTWOOD stalwart Andy Hoskins felt he couldn’t work under the new Meadowbank managment.
Following the departure of former boss Alex Sykes and the appointment of Des Meredith, Hoskins has decided to call time on a 12-year association, which started as a player and latterly in a coaching capacity.
“Unfortunately after a meeting with the new manager (Des Meredith) it became clear that I couldn’t work with him,” revealed Hoskins. “The time is right for me to part company with a club I have grown to love. I would like to thank Rich Webb for his support, John Evans for taking me to Shortwood and also Alex Sykes and all the people who work so hard and for free behind the scenes.
"I will continue to support the club as a spectator and will be a frequent visitor."
Meanwhile, following Matt Bennett's departure to Evesham, Nick Weeks and Nick Peare have joined Southern League rivals Mangotsfield United and Andy Lewis has agreed terms to rejoin Cinderford Town.
